Tax Center · Mileage

Taxes are an April problem. Deductions aren't.

The Tax Center tracks deductions year-round — mileage logged at the IRS standard rate, expenses flagged for tax time as they happen, business kept separate from personal — so year-end is a review, not an archaeology dig.

How does OneTruth Money help with taxes?

The short answer

The Tax Center tracks deductions year-round, with mileage logging built in. Flag the expenses you want organized for tax time as they happen, keep business and freelance money in their own Workspaces, and your year-end totals roll up ready for your tax preparer — a review in January instead of a scramble in April.

Mileage

How does mileage become money?

Log a trip and the deduction is computed at the IRS standard mileage rate for that trip's tax year — for 2026, $0.725 per business mile. Round trips are handled; the math is never yours to redo.

Already keeping a log in a spreadsheet? Import it as a CSV and every trip's deduction is recomputed at the right rate for its year. Entry is manual or imported — there is no background GPS.

Workspaces

Where does the business stop and the household begin?

At the workspace boundary. Personal, family, side hustle, LLC — each workspace has its own bills, accounts, goals, and people. The freelance workspace's deductible expenses never tangle with the family groceries, and the LLC books stay separate from the household budget. One subscription covers every workspace you own.

Flag expenses for tax time as they happen — the flag rides with the transaction, so your year-end totals are organized by the time you sit down with your preparer.

Year-end

What do you hand your preparer?

A finished picture. Income and expenses tracked against the bills they pay, deductions and mileage totaled by tax year, and exports you can hand over as a file. It is tax organization, not tax software — nothing here files a return or replaces a professional's advice.

How does OneTruth Money help with taxes?
The Tax Center tracks deductions year-round, with mileage logging built in. Flag the expenses you want organized for tax time as they happen, keep business and freelance money in their own Workspaces, and your year-end totals roll up ready for your tax preparer — a review in January instead of a scramble in April.
How does mileage deduction tracking work?
Log a trip — where you went and how far — and OneTruth Money computes the deduction at the IRS standard mileage rate for that trip's tax year. For 2026 the rate is $0.725 per business mile. You can also import an existing mileage log from a CSV spreadsheet, and the deduction math is recomputed for you.
Does it track my mileage automatically with GPS?
No. Trips are logged by you — quick manual entry in the app, or a CSV import of a log you already keep. There is no background GPS, which is part of why the app stays private by design.
Can it keep business money separate from personal?
Yes — that's what Workspaces are for. Personal, family, side hustle, LLC: each workspace has its own bills, accounts, and people, so freelance income and its deductible expenses never tangle with the household budget. One subscription covers every workspace you own.
Does OneTruth Money file my taxes?
No. OneTruth Money organizes — deductions tracked, mileage logged, year-end totals rolled up for whoever prepares your return. It is tax organization, not tax software and not tax advice; for guidance tailored to you, talk to a tax professional.
How much does OneTruth Money cost?
$14.99 a month, or $129 a year — about $10.75 a month, a 28% saving. The yearly plan includes a 7-day free trial. The Tax Center, Mileage, and Workspaces are in both plans, and Members are free.
